Crisp, clean and yet I miss the appearance of bound note paper the old one suggested, however I guess we must not stifle progress for the sake of sentiment:-) More seriously though it's always been the quality and relevance of what you write which I value to render the format as virtually meaningless.

Hi, I don't have feedback, but wanted to ask you to do some special advent series like 3 yrs ago with "what if" questions. That was amazing and I miss it!
Thanks... actually, you should see the bound notepaper background. If you don't, can you let me know what browser & screen resolution you are using? Best,
Gosh, you're right, it's almost December. I haven't even thought about an advent series. At this point it's highly unlikely I'll manage to put something together within 3 days, but I'll keep it in mind. Best,
I don't know which time-zone the timestamp "12:52 AM, November 28, 2011" is in, but as of 07:30 UTC of the same day, I can see the spiral binding on the left-hand side. Firefox 8 and XP -- my weekday set-up.
We noticed yesterday that on our old laptop with a small screen resolution the background image is partly hidden below the main frame. I've tried to change the margins and paddings by hand, but the template doesn't have separate variables for all the different spacings, so then everything looks crappy. It would take me more time than I am willing to invest to fix this, so I'm wondering how many are affected. Best,
Like Phil said nice clean lines and I see your notebook using current Firefox.
Is this your intro page and thought not to consider links?
It is fun in a way to do a bit of change up.....don't know if you notice I went through a bit of a changeover myself. It was fun experimenting....another location did the same thing.
Nothing wrong with white in principle. But I noticed that on our new computer the white looks indeed VERY bright. It looks fine on the old one, but toning it down a little seems a good idea. Best,
Yes, I don't like the grey either. How about that now, some light yellow, comes out with a hint of apricot or so. I kind of like that. I think I'll leave it at this for now, maybe play around with the other colors later.

Sorts of keeps you current with HTML writing.
Best,
You asked for a comment ... well ... just like string theory ... beautiful form, no content ...
ReplyDelete:-)
Well, since you ask, seems much too WHITE. Would much prefer a warmer tone for the page, perhaps like the cream color on this comment page.
ReplyDeleteBest.
Hi Don,
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean. I think this should be fixable, let me see what I can do. Best,
B.
Hi Bee,
ReplyDeleteI see the notebook now, not sure why it didn't show up before; looking good.
Best,
Phil
Now the background is rose-ish. I'm not sure about this, I might change it again.
ReplyDeleteI don't like this background color to tell you the truth.
ReplyDeleteIf you want a background color it could be light grey/silver
What's wrong with labcoat white?
ReplyDeleteSome of us lay people have an image of scientists:)
Of course backgrounds can be busy, soft and cuddly, and how does it help?
Another interesting features is to show quotes in their own background too? Linked url's with captions as title= " " never put : in it.
Best,
Ok, so how about that? It's greyish with a hint of purple or so. It looks a little depressing to me. Maybe I'll try something yellowish.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Bee is writing a book?
ReplyDeleteNotice anything wrong with blogger lately? "memcache null and form registration" since switch over?
Best,

You know with those blue links and the white one could have thought it was next to heaven? :)
ReplyDeleteNo of course your right about appearance..the grey though......too dismal.
Best,
Too purple

ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of milk or baby's cream; I don't like either but it's tolerable
ReplyDeleteOn my desktop screen at work it didn't look good. Now In my laptop looks fine (softer)

ReplyDeleteSooper. I can not no longer find not nothing.
ReplyDeleteBetter. I think it is not so much esthetic as it is physiology. For me it is easier to take something in if I am not fighting glare. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI hope you keep the trashcan to get rid of our own posts we don't like, will check now ...
ReplyDeleteHeh, "cultsts" - uh oh ...
