Blog Life

My husband just sent me an email, reporting that a former colleague pointed out this very interesting article at physicsweb.org

which is part of a monthly column:

You see, we are in good company :-) I am very flattered by such honor and find the text remarkably accurate (well, I didn't know how to spell 'Landolt-Börnstein').

The mentioned Aero chocolate is here, and the 'humorous take on the recent debate over the status of string theory' is here. The 'lengthy and thoughtful posts' as well as the inpiration series you find in the sidebar.

B, how blatantly untrue. You're by far the most prolific blogger of the 2 :-)

  2. hmm, indeed, I was about to make a nasty comment about this sentence, but trying hard to be a good wife ;-) Anyway, it doesn't say the load is 'equally shared' does it?

  5. " ... with the load being shared between the two bloggers"

Hm ;-)... really very misleading... but the attentive reader of the Bloglife piece will for sure have noticed that out of 6 "question-answer" pairs, I am mentioned in 2, or 1, if one focusses on answers about contributions of mine - and that provides, I hope, a more balanced ratio :-)

BTW, two weeks ago when I met with former collegues of the Frankfurt institute, I talked to a new graduate student from India, and it came out that he is a regular reader of our Blog. He asked me the same question - why I do not write more.

I told him simply because Bee has more brilliant ideas about interesting to write about, and because she is the better writer :-)

The other reason is that - as Bee always tries to convince me ;-) - I maybe just should just be less hesitating about possible posts and simply go on and write... well, we will see ...

Anyway, that's a good occasion to thank all the reader who like at least some of the posts :-)

    Best, stefan

PS: The Landolt-Börnstein is located in Darmstadt, not in Frankfurt - but that's just a question of 35 km...

    I hope so!

  7. In nearly all marriages it is the wife who does the most work, whether it is obvious or not. ;-)

Congrats on the honor, both of you!
