Er isses
Frühling läßt sein blaues Band
Wieder flattern durch die Lüfte
Süße, wohlbekannte Düfte
Streifen ahnungsvoll das Land
Veilchen träumen schon,
Wollen balde kommen
Horch, von fern ein leiser Harfenton!
Frühling, ja du bist's!
Dich hab ich vernommen!

ReplyDelete(sorry, the server in F. seems to be down, photos should reappear if they have fixed their problem)
Congratulations on surviving the winter! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteBee: I saw your post on Lubos' blog, and your mention of the colony collapse of bees. We got into a discussion about that on one of his recent threads--a fun bee book is "A Book Of Bees" by Sue Hubbell. I had assumed it was the averroa mite, as the beekeepers on Vancouver Island
ReplyDeletewere very aware of this. Last year, local honeybees were in (scant) evidence after some years of absence.
As for the cellphone stuff, why not
see if this phenomenon occurs in areas where there are no cels,
BTW was your Bee analogy totally random :) ?
Dear Bee,
ReplyDeletethe Mörike poem is great :-)
Here in Germany now, there is indeed the smell of cherry trees and flowering blackthorn in the air, and that has reminded me these lines...
Cheers, stefan
PS: The server, and the photos, are supposed to be back later today... I just met the poor guy who has to do the work.
Hi Bee,
ReplyDeleteI'm in Boulder, Colorado for one day more; establishing a 'Plan C' for financial support, in case my European plans Plan A and Plan B fail. My Plan C actually looks more solid than my Plan A and my Plan B! Anyway, I managed through a full day of discussions and an hour presentation on two hours sleep and didn't say anything stupid and everyone seemed happy, so I'm satisfied. It's highly variable weather here, though, a couple of blue sunny mornings and rain in the evenings with snow as a possibility. I'm glad that you finally experienced Spring!
Hi Amara,
ReplyDeletenice to hear from you! Good luck with your plans... Here the weather has been mixed up the last days, thunderstorms, sunshine, but it remained warm :-)
Best,
B.
